Miss Med’s Minute
About the Founder
Nicolette Tselikis
(Aka, Miss Med)
Hi! I’m Nicolette—a student, artistic swimmer, and aspiring scientist passionate about strengthening public health and expanding access to care. I became president of Med Access Network, a youth-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving healthcare literacy, connecting communities with resources, and advocating for equitable, culturally competent medicine. My studies in STEM and Spanish shape the way I approach healthcare: I believe language and education should never be barriers to well-being. Working in bilingual settings and learning from diverse communities has deepened my commitment to breaking down the structural and linguistic obstacles that prevent people from receiving the care they deserve. Balancing elite athletics with academic research has taught me resilience, discipline, and the importance of community wellness. Through Miss Med, I share research-based insights, personal reflections, and conversations that empower others to take charge of their health and inspire young leaders who hope to transform the future of medicine!QUESTION OF THE WEEK.
